Since I was very young I loved to draw. In the beginning, it was hot rods and airplanes, and as I matured so did my images. I have been very lucky to have had some great mentoring throughout my life. From my high school teacher who encouraged me to the artist/instructors that have influenced me. At Miami Dade Junior College I had the fortune of working with the realist sculptor Dwayne Hanson who turned me on to realism and all its forms. From Vermeer to Hopper and more contemporary artists like Richard Estes and Chuck Close. I loved the painterly techniques they used to render their images.
At the University of South Florida, I again had the opportunity to work along with some great artists, like James Rosenquist, and Richard Kronsnoble. Their instruction, mentoring and encouragement led me to a more serious approach to making art. I followed that path to Graduate School at the University of Florida, where I was able to really develop my art. While there my art was in several important shows, like the 'Young Floridians' which toured the state for a year, and a two-man show 'Bandini and Boy Wonder'.
Today I am retired from my career and am able to devote myself completely to my art again (with a little time for Golf !). My hope is that my art will bring the viewer some personal appreciation.
